Thank you, guys! Ended up going with Tire Rack Direct, as suggested in the comments. Got some Yokohamas at Plus 0 (the model wasn’t available in my stock size). Hopefully they’ll get here in time to be mounted and balanced before next weekend, cuz I’ve got a road trip. Heh. Thanks for all your help!
Anyone know if there’s any Black Friday specials going on for tires? Time to replace Jelly Bean’s shoes.

I know it’s not a well known name, but even for my FiST the Nexen N5000 Plus is like $65 a tire. My Mom has had them on her Vibe, and they lasted around 50k miles. That $65 is for 205/40r17 though.

I’m at 60,XXX miles right now on my stock tires. But all the decently priced tires I can find are T rated. OEM is H. I’ll look up Nexen and see that they’ve got. Thank you.

I honestly don’t know what the ratings are on them, but we’ve had good luck with them. I plan on getting some as a winter set, as it gets cold enough to make the summers useless, but I have no need for snows.

I think NTB is doing a buy 2 get 2 free sale. My local NTB has had great service and does quick installs but YMMV. Also looks like WalMart is having all sorts of Black Friday fire sales including free installation if you trust them. I didn’t really look through the sales, but one thing to keep in mind is that WalMart sometimes has well-known brands make exclusives for them so it can be tricky to compare reviews to a place like Tire Rack.

Some food for thought if you’re looking at any of Discount Tire’s deals. The owner was a big supporter of and donor to Sheriff Joe Arpaio over the years. The guy who was in charge of pulling over and harrassing people because they looked like illegal immigrants (meaning they were brown). Kind of of a mute point since he’s now out of power, but the more you know... Don’t want to say anything else about the guy as he’s the richest person in AZ.

Same company, it is just their direct online sales department. They get a lot of their stuff from Tire Rack, so maybe check them for deals. Or get the tires from discount and have a local llantera place mount them.

Oh, I’ve already got a local place that’s gonna mount and balance them. Whenever I finally decide on a set I’m just gonna have them shipped directly to the shop. I know the guy who owns it. :)

I’ve used Auto Rim Shop in the past and just got a Black Friday email from them. I would definitely give them a call.
